Wenatchee Valley Reentry Center, Washington State Department of Corrections
Location: Wenatchee, WA
Square Feet: 21,800 SF
Project Description:
The Wenatchee Valley Reentry Center, now called the Deaconess Reentry Center, provides a transition space for men and women moving from a secure State Department of Corrections facility back to the community. The building was out of date in terms of infrastructure capability, accessibility, and life safety and code compliance. The renovation included upgrades to the mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems, as well as a structural upgrade to add a third story. This provided essential space for additional programming while other usable space was maximized to provide room for flexibility to serve multiple programs to maintain a rehabilitative environment focused on life skills.
