Project Description:

KMB architects designed Thurston County’s three-level office building to LEED Gold standards. The $4.2 million building houses engineering and administrative offices and features geothermal heating and cooling, rainwater harvesting for plumbing and irrigation, office daylighting, and the use of recycled and low-emitting finish materials to comprise a healthy and highly sustainable work environment for County staff. The design also incorporated a centralized outdoor courtyard servicing the existing facilities as well as the new building.
