Location: Bend, OR

Square Feet: 30,650 SF

Project Keywords: Public Safety, Police Station

Project Description:

The Sunriver Service District (SSD) provides police and fire protection for residents and guests of Sunriver, a resort community in Central Oregon. The full-time population is roughly 1,700, but during peak tourist times can swell to 20,000 or more. The service district hired KMB to program and design a modern law enforcement building to meet the current and long-range needs of the Sunriver community.   The SSD police and fire services selected KMB and local associate architectural firm Pinnacle Architecture. After much analysis and visioning of community services, it was determined it was best to co-locate Police and Fire on the existing Fire Department's site and expand the facility to add a new modern police department.  The new 30,650 SF Police & Fire Department building incorporates 17,900 SF of new facilities and renovates all 12,750 SF of the existing Fire Department.
