Description:
Morton School District identified the need to update the existing elementary school to meet community values, enrollment projections, and long-term goals. KMB partnered with the District to help modernize the school’s infrastructure in accordance with Washington Sustainable School Protocol (WSSP) while honoring its heritage. The renovation is focused on ADA accessibility improvements, hazardous material abatement, and structural enhancements that are cost-effective and conscious of long-term educational growth. Playgrounds and play structures were improved, new gym flooring was installed, and the exterior envelope of the building was updated to meet energy code and security needs.
