Project Description:
South Puget Sound Community College’s Lacey campus featured an aging 30-year-old building that needed modernization. KMB led design efforts for an extensive remodel and modernization to update the space and improve its function within the community. The project was highly collaborative and involved the College’s key stakeholders, students, local economic development entities, and the Lacey community. The space integrates student services administrative space, classrooms, computer labs, conference rooms, and breakout spaces. Building 1 also serves as the home to SPSCC’s Entrepreneurial Center, with offices for the Small Business Development Center and the Thurston County EDC.
