KMB worked with the DCYF to complete a predesign for the Baker North Cottage in 2020. The successful predesign led to KMB being retained for full design services in 2022. Completed in 2025, the project renovated the long-vacant north half of the cottage, approximately 7,800 SF, and added a 500 SF expansion for additional programming space.The renovated cottage serves the older youth population at Green Hill School, supporting the development of independent living skills for community reintegration. Program spaces include single and double sleeping rooms, restrooms and showers, laundry and storage areas, staff offices, independent learning and work areas, a flexible group room for counseling, gatherings, and education, and a larger group room with a life skills kitchen.
