Project Description:
The Community Crisis Recovery Center was added to the Lynnwood Community Justice Center project to serve those suffering an immediate crisis. Careful consideration was given to provide a calming and reduced-stress environment to serve an at-risk population. This center serves people experiencing a mental health episode, suffering from a substance use disorder, or a co-occurring episode. It accommodates both voluntary and non-voluntary individuals with stays between 23 hours and 5 days. The focus is on triage and stabilization of each person, counseling, and connecting them with community resources to continue care and treatment following their stay. This project was in partnership with Mackenzie Architecture.
