Natalie Vargas
Curious. Passionate. Thoughtful. Collected.
Natalie has always had an interest and love of interior design. She was attracted to a career in this field because of its balance of creativity and logistics, bringing out two seemingly opposite and complementary strengths. Through her travels and educational experiences, Natalie was inspired by many unique spaces that further shaped her desire to pursue a career in Interior Design. From vacations in Las Vegas at Caesar's Palace to her study abroad stint in Rome, she has explored the many unique and beautiful aspects of design and is eager to integrate them into her own work at KMB. As a recent graduate, Natalie is ready to apply her personal passion and formal education to a variety of projects serving local communities.
"As much as I have been inspired by hospitality design, I really love the idea of being able to leave a positive impact somewhere where you might not expect it. Working on institutional spaces where people may be having a tough time will give me the opportunity to change the standard in places people don't typically find inviting and welcoming design."
Natalie feels particularly fortunate to have found herself working with KMB architects. She has lived in Lacey since 2009 and attended SPSCC's running start program before attending SPU for Interior Design. After graduating, she was uncertain if she would be able to find a place to do her dream profession and spent months looking for the right place to share her talents. With ingrained values of guidance and mentorship, Natalie feels at home at KMB knowing she will have plenty of support as she learns more about the industry and develops her skills as an interior designer.
During her free time, Natalie enjoys spending time with her family since they are all very close. She loves anything that spikes adrenaline such as hiking, cliff jumping, and snowboarding. She is also an animal lover and feels very fortunate to be able to share the space with other critters whenever in nature.
