KMB architects is seeking an Entry Level Architect to work independently or in a team.  Your duties may include (but will not limited to): Project production work, use of your Revit and other computing application skills, design tasks, writing support assignments to include studies, reports, meeting agenda and notes, specifications, schedules, research, cost estimating, and project closeout documentation and support.



Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work with clients to determine initial goals and requirements for the space to be designed.

  • Collaborate with architects, designers, engineers, consultants, and contractors involved in the project.

  • Prepares sketches or other visual aids to demonstrate preliminary designs to client.

  • Consults with project team and client in programming of spaces.

  • Create construction drawings; plans, elevations, details, schedules, and specifications.

  • Maintains current knowledge of trends, techniques, and other developments in architecture.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.



Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Multi-tasking – Ability to coordinate, manage, and complete two or more tasks simultaneously while maintaining the required quality and quantity levels.

  • Proficient in Revit and other computer-aided design (CAD) software.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)

  • Ability to work both independently and effectively in association with a team of individuals

  • Passion for design

  • Strong verbal, writing and graphic presentation skills

  • Experience:

    • Revit: 0-3 years (Preferred)

    • AutoCAD: 0-3 years (Preferred)

    • Architecture: 0-3 years (Preferred)

Job Type:                      Full-time

Pay:                              $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Physical setting:            Office (Staff have the ability to work from home (remotely) or come into one of our offices. All staff are required to be available to meet with clients or come into the office for a meeting.)

Schedule:                      Monday to Friday

Work Location:             Seattle or Olympia, WA
