Christine Butay-Hawkins | Office Manager

Dependable. Loyal. Can-do Attitude.

“There were 10 people when I started at the firm in 1997. It’s evolved so much, but it’s always been family-oriented and team-oriented with people who have a great work ethic.”

Office Manager Christine Butay-Hawkins is KMB’s second longest tenured employee, with over 20 years of service to the firm. She consistently ensures the office runs smoothly by handling a multitude of tasks such as being the face and voice of KMB as the Receptionist, logging submittals, drafting AIA contracts, and planning events as our Office Manager. Christine always approaches her work with a can-do attitude and looks for opportunities to use her skills to support the success of the firm and her colleagues. As the second longest tenured employee at KMB architects, Christine Butay-Hawkins has witnessed plenty of change and growth in the firm over her 20+ years. What has remained constant is the positive and rewarding work environment and company culture, where everybody’s skills are supported and valued in the pursuit of success.

“The most satisfying thing about working at KMB architects is the owner-employee relationship. The owners are supportive, they listen, and they care about the employees. It’s a positive and rewarding work environment.”

Whether she is providing administrative support to a project team or recognizing a client by their voice over the phone, Christine’s attentive, can-do, go-with-the-flow attitude always shines through. Dependable and loyal, Christine uses her administrative support skills to make consistent positive contributions to the firm.

While no two workdays may look alike, Christine’s eagerness to help is constant. She understands the fast-paced, deadline driven environment of an architectural practice and does whatever it takes to support her colleagues and their projects.

“The most satisfying thing about working at KMB architects is the owner-employee relationship. The owners are supportive, they listen, and they care about the employees. It’s a positive and rewarding work environment.”

Born and raised in Hawaii, Christine’s father was in the military, so she moved to several states before settling in Washington. With a passion for fitness and living a healthy lifestyle, if Christine is not at the office, you’ll find her at the gym lifting weights and getting her cardio in.
